Bradley P Smith

I am a comparative psychologist with a key interest in canids. My key areas of interest revolve around the cognition and behaviour of dingoes, non-lethal management of carnivores, and the relationship between humans and animals. Some of my recent projects include exploring the role of the human-animal bond in disaster preparedness and response, human-dingo conflict, human-animal co-sleeping, and the influence of domestication on behaviour. In 2015, I edited 'The dingo debate', a book published by CSIRO Publishing exploring the intriguing and relatively unknown story of Australia's most controversial animal, the dingo. I currently works as a Senior Lecturer at Central Queensland University (Adelaide campus) where I lecture in psychology and continue to study dingoes, dogs, and the human-animal bond. I am also an Adjunct Associate Lecturer at the University of Adelaide (School of Veterinary Science), and a co-director of the Australian Dingo Foundation.
